Update 19 July 2010 Solid Core at St Pete Pier, what a party....even in the extreme heat. Folks had a good time, children danced without hesitation. Have you had the opportunity to see these guys in action? If you have not you're missing a boat load of fun. If you have and had as good a time as described here or better have you mentioned to your favorite hangout that these guys are exciting and fun? Has the lead singer Jay Seven hired you on the spot to sing with the band? Go to the guest book and tell about your experience with Solid Core. Remember, your favorite band is as famous as you make them so help spread the word about Solid Core. Don't forget that they perform at weddings, corporate events, private parties, etc.
Update 3 June 2010 A huge party took place at AJ's Sports Bar & Grill this past weekend and yours truly were at the helm. It so happens Bay News 9 was at the event, which did not stop the place from shaking at its foundation with the group's debut song 'Solid Core'. Look for more events with Solid Core coming soon to a venue near you.
Update 21 February 2010 Though spacing was tight for the sextet it didn't stop the band from having a good time at the Palm Pavilion....and what a good time it was. The band was electric. New saxophonist Ric Santiago was definitely in his element. Solid Core says HEY to all the new friends at the party. Picture pending showing how good the guys look with their new shirt design....big thanks to the drummer's wife Sandi Farrell.
The Venue in Clearwater 11/14/2009
Update 16 February 2010 St. Pete Pier was a blast. Many folks came out and had a great time. Guest included not only local folks from Tampa and Lakeland but new friends from California and Canada. Solid Core was asked if Canada can be a play date, of course the answer is YES!
Update 15 November 09 The band had a great show at The Venue, having to play not only what they do best but adding Swing to start the theme party scheduled for later in the evening. Also, Solid Core would like to send a shout out to Ric Santiago, filling in on sax at Sam's Hudson Beach on 11/13. The brother definitely has impeccable chops. Update 7 October 09 Founders Day New Port Richey was a blast. Folks had a good time though they had to endure some rain. Pictures and a new video are currently being processed.
Bright House's 'Night in the Tropics'New Port Richey 8/15/2009
Update 23 August 09 The band was billed as the opening act at Bright House's 'Night in the Tropics' and what an event it was. Though there was a brief rain shower it did not stop the guys from doing what they do best...tearing a stage apart...figuratively, of course. Many folks were in attendance, most notable were the many familiar faces from Sam's Hudson Beach.
Solid Core performing at Gulfport's Concert On The Point July 10, 2009
Update 11 July 09
Gulfport's Concert On The Point was a blast. From the compliments that were received it
would appear that folks had a good time. That's exactly what the band
wanted to accomplish. Solid Core is looking forward to playing again
for our new friends in Gulfport! Be sure to check out the new pics
that are currently uploading and stay tuned to view new videos.
Update 5 July 09 The band celebrated the 4th at Sam's with new and old friends. If
you've never been you'll need to stop by the place when Solid Core is
in the house. The place is a lot of fun.
Update 7 June 09
Another fun night at Sam's Hudson Beach. Folks came from many miles to hang out, one couple came from Lakeland to have fun with us. Great crowd, awesome staff, much fun. The band looks forward to playing at Sam's. Be sure to check the Calendar page for new dates.
Update 19 May 09
Cotee River Seafood Festival on 8 May 09 was an amazing night for the band. Thanks Sandi for the video. Unfortunately Austin the saxophonist was bound to a previous contractual obligationand could not perform that night is why he does not appear in the first of many videos to come. Nonetheless, the band is working it's way to the top. This time around there are new pics, some new live recordings, and a video so be sure to look around the site.
Update 6 May 09
Another great party on 2 May 09 at Sam's On The Beach, the band was back to tear things up again and we did. Bill the drummer was all smiles the whole night and Dan the keyboardist did this dance step we had never seen before....don't worry Dan, we have it on film! The band had a ball. Kudos to Austin on his vocal debut. Joe the axe man and Jay the front vocals can't get over how smooth bass man Maurice is even when he loses a bass string, the man didn't miss a lick....awesome. It's official, Sam's is the band's new home. We will back sometime soon, be sure to check with the Calendar page for dates and times. Bay News 9 came out and got shots of the band and spoke to the managers and some of the folks that were at the party. The band is looking forward to see how that came out. We should know something very soon. Since Solid Core is the new kids on the block we were baffled at first with the clothes pin thing. Bartender Lori explained it's just to see how many can be attached before the victim finds out. A couple of women said it was because we are loved. That's awesome! The band would like to give a shout out to all our supporters, thank you for being so great!

I just wanted to say hello to you great bunch of guys. I am so glad that I came out to Sam's at Hudson Beach tonight. You played many many songs from my younger days that I have to be honest I have missed hearing for a very long time. All of you play so well together and sing very well together. I'm very glad that I got a card with your website address on it from Jay. I will be looking forward to seeing all of you next time you are in the area. I see you will be in Brooksville for a festival event and I hope to be able to make it. Anyhow, I couldn't pass up the opportunity to say that you did a fantastic job at Sam's.
